The participation of Costa Rica in the International Fair of Tourism (FITUR) in Spain generated successful ventures that will lead to an increase of approximately one hundred thousand tourists arriving from Spain during the year 2007.

The representatives of the Spanish airline, Iberia, announced that the number of direct flights to Costa Rica will increase starting from June.

In this way, the airline will be offering travelers direct flights to the country on a daily basis via Barajas, Madrid to San José, Costa Rica and vice versa without having stopovers in other countries in Central America.
