Creation of eight regional offices to boost rural tourism in 2007 |
The Ministry of Tourism is creating eight regional offices this year in order to support small tourism enterprises that are located outside the Metropolitan Area in rural communities and away from the main beaches.
The purpose of these offices is to offer valuable information to visitors and, at the same time, to serve as a reception for visitors who wish to lodge any suggestions or complaints. The cost of these regional offices is approximately 340 million colons. With rural tourism, local tourists as well as foreigners can experience the Costa Rica ‘s authenticity, the natural attractions of the country and, of course, the warmth of its people. |
