|
The international Chain of Hilton Hotels announced on January 5th the signing of multi-annual administrative agreements with Caribbean Real Estate Opportunity Fund to operate and manage two hotels in Costa Rica: Fiesta and Premier Fiesta Resort & Spa, the first one located in Puntarenas and the second one in Papagayo, Guanacaste.
This will grant the Hilton Brand to the Premier and the Doubletree brand to the Fiesta in Puntarenas.
The agreement establishes that Hilton will be in control of these two buildings starting from December 2007, which means that it will be in charge of 202 rooms in the Premier Fiesta in Guanacaste and 410 rooms in Puntarenas.
The Premier Fiesta Resort will become, after this negotiation, a Hilton Papagayo Resort. On the other hand, Fiesta Resort of Puntarenas will become a Doubletree by Hilton, a brand dedicated to luxury hotels with full services.
With this agreement, Hilton Hotels ventures for the first time with this brand in Costa Rica as part of an aggressive plan of expansion in Central America and the Caribbean, said Danny Hughes, Vice-President of the Hilton Corporation for this region, in a press release.
This chain of hotels was already present in the country, with its brand Hampton Inn & Suites, a hotel of limited services located in front of the Juan Santamaría airport and dedicated mainly to business men and women. |
