They will invest in a tourist park in the Turrialba Volcano
A tour was recently undertaken to the Turrialba volcano, in the community of Turrialba with the purpose of appraising over a possible investment in a tourist park.

This tour was done by officials from the Area of Conservation of the Central Volcanic Mountain Range, as well as the Foundation for the Central Volcanic Mountain Range (FUNDECOR) and the local municipality.

The purpose of this Project is to give priority to the tourism of the region.

Other efforts are also being done, as for example in the next few days a new viewpoint and a large parking lot will be built in this place and the streets will be repaired so that any car can easily enter.

A place for bathrooms, a cafeteria and a booth for a guard will be installed. In the end it is an ambitious project in the region of Turrialba specifically in the Turrialba volcano.

FUNDECOR will donate 70 million colones and the local municipality more than 20 million.

The Turrialba volcano is located on the eastern side of the Central Volcanic Mountain Range, its position is a little off the general alignment of the mountain range with a height of 3,340 mts above sea level.

It is made up of a crater or depressions were the main craters are. There are records since 1864 of its activity and currently it presents activity related with fumaroles and earthquakes.
